2. POVERTY, FAMINE AND DROUGHT
"Therefore thus says YAHWEH, ‘You have not obeyed Me in proclaiming release each man to his brother and each man to his neighbor. Behold, I am proclaiming a release to you,’ declares YAHWEH, ‘to the sword, to the pestilence and to the famine; and I will make you a terror to all the kingdoms of the earth. Jeremiah 34:17
Woe to those who rise early in the morning that they may pursue strong drink, who stay up late in the evening that wine may inflame them! Their banquets are accompanied by lyre and harp, by tambourine and flute, and by wine; but they do not pay attention to the deeds of YAHWEH, nor do they consider the work of His hands. Therefore My people go into exile for their lack of knowledge; and their honorable men are famished, and their multitude is parched with thirst. Isaiah 5:11-13
3. BONDAGE AND DISEASES
"YAHWEH will smite you with the boils of Egypt and with tumors and with the scab and with the itch, from which you cannot be healed. "YAHWEH will smite you with madness and with blindness and with bewilderment of heart; and you will grope at noon, as the blind man gropes in darkness, and you will not prosper in your ways; but you shall only be oppressed and robbed continually, with none to save you. Deuteronomy 28:27-29
"YAHWEH will strike you on the knees and legs with sore boils, from which you cannot be healed, from the sole of your foot to the crown of your head. Deuteronomy 28:35
Pharaoh sent, and behold, there was not even one of the livestock of Israel dead. But the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people go.
The Plague of Boils, Then YAHWEH said to Moses and Aaron, “Take for yourselves handfuls of soot from a kiln, and let Moses throw it toward the sky in the sight of Pharaoh. "It will become fine dust over all the land of Egypt, and will become boils breaking out with sores on man and beast through all the land of Egypt.” So they took soot from a kiln, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses threw it toward the sky, and it became boils breaking out with sores on man and beast. The magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils, for the boils were on the magicians as well as on all the Egyptians. Exodus 9:7-11
Israel Oppressed by Midian, Then the sons of Israel did what was evil in the sight of YAHWEH; and YAHWEH gave them into the hands of Midian seven years. Judges 6:1
4. WAR AND TERROR
"For My people are foolish, they know Me not; they are stupid children and have no understanding they are shrewd to do evil, but to do good they do not know.” I looked on the earth, and behold, it was formless and void; and to the heavens, and they had no light. I looked on the mountains, and behold, they were quaking, and all the hills moved to and from.
I looked, and behold, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens had fled. I looked, and behold, the fruitful land was a wilderness, and all its cities were pulled down before YAHWEH, before His fierce anger. For thus says YAHWEH, “The whole land shall be a desolation, yet I will not execute a complete destruction.
"For this the earth shall mourn and the heavens above be dark, because I have spoken, I have purposed, and I will not change My mind, nor will I turn from it.” At the sound of the horseman and bowman every city flees; they go into the thickets and climb among the rocks; every city is forsaken, and no man dwells in them. Jeremiah 4:22-29
Be Subject to Government , Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities For there is no authority except from ELOHIM, and those which exist are established by ELOHIM. Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of ELOHIM; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves. For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil.
Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good and you will have praise from the same; for it is a minister of ELOHIM to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a minister of ELOHIM, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil. Therefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not only because of wrath, but also for conscience’ sake.
For because of this you also pay taxes, for rulers are servants of ELOHIM, devoting themselves to this very thing. Render to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor. Judges 6:1
5. OPPRESSION / DEPRESSION
Redeem me from the oppression of man, that I may keep Your precepts. Psalms 119:134
6. DESTRUCTION
"Like the nations that YAHWEH makes to perish before you, so you shall perish; because you would not listen to the voice of YAHWEH your ELOHIM. Deuteronomy 8:20
"But the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness They did not walk in My statutes and they rejected My ordinances, by which, if a man observes them, he will live; and My sabbaths they greatly profaned Then I resolved to pour out My wrath on them in the wilderness, to annihilate them. Ezekiel 20:13
"So all these curses shall come on you and pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed, because you would not obey YAHWEH your ELOHIM by keeping His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you. Deuteronomy 28:45
